nail polish on 2 yr old

My DD is 2 and I want to paint her toe nails for the summer.  Has anyone ever done this on a 2 year old?  And what kind of nail shine should I use?  I know they accept chemicals in them so i want to use one that has none.  Does anyone know of any brands and stores that I can go them at?

  • Funny you posted this, as I but finished painting my 2 yo dd toenails.      I just do it afterward trimming and but put on one coat.  It normally dries past the time I'm washed trimming her fingernails.  She is usually so excited to have information technology done, she sits very yet and patiently.

As far as which brand is best, I'm unsure.    I know there is a website out in that location somewhere that ranks different dazzler products and their toxicity, just can't remember what it is called.

  • How practice you get information technology off? I'd be worried nail polish remover would be harsh on their pare.

  • blast smoothen remover is harsh on the skin simply if y'all use a cotton fiber brawl it volition hold the majority of the remover and youll simply use a niggling on the nails themselves. i would suggest the not-acetone, its slightly less harsh.

as for the smoothen itself, whatever nail products manufactured in NY are formaldehyde free. if im not mistaken theres only a couple states in the The states that yet use the evil stuff. i think cali is one that does.

funny what random pieces of info stick in ones mind from dazzler schoolhouse.

  • I don't know what brand is best.  We usually use the kid kinds.  Information technology wears off pretty rapidly, and so haven't used remover.  I think we started painting her toes at less than 2 yrs.  Waited with her fingers (they nonetheless go in her mouth).

  • Ive been painting DD'southward toes n fingers since she was 1 1/2!!! A footling will go a long long way... it dries really fast too, one light sweep on little nails is all you need and ususally they wont attempt to eat it or annihilation....

  • Hahaha, how nigh using marker? when I was a teen I would use black permanent marking and utilize a pearl top glaze, fabricated a sparkling midnight blue. But I am sure if yous got a pink or red or what ever colored sharpie information technology would work, but would non smoothen.

  • I pigment my 2 yr olds toes as well, she loves to have her nails painted so she sits however pretty well.  I don't take the nail polish off.  I let it autumn off past itself.

  • my daughter is nineteen mo old and i've painted her nails four or 5 times at present. i use all kinds of nail polishes and i use acetone free remover, there'south never been whatever issues with either. merely i don't paint her fingernails yet. also if your LO won't stop touching them while ur painting, i put my daughter in the highchair for pedicures :) that way she stays out of the way. i remember she was most iii or 4 months the 1st time i painted them.

  • I started painting DD toes for her 2nd birthday. I simply utilize what ever nail shine I have for myself, I didn't buy annihilation special. I oasis't had to have information technology off yet as it wears off on its own. I don't run across a problem with nail polish remover since they have all of the ones with out the harsh chemicals. I think I would wash her easily or feet after using the nail polish remover though.
